Zashilunbu Monastery: home of the Panchen Lamathe Panchen Lama is a more scholarly leader than the Dalai Lama and is the second-highest lama after the Dalai Lama. traditionally, the Dalai Lama chooses the next Panchen Lama and vice versa.
